[Linux] How To Install Flex

Flex (Fast Lexical Analyser) is a free tool for generating scanners, alternative to lex. In this post we will see how install Flex in Linux.

For Fedora:

Install C Compiler (GCC):

$ sudo yum install -y gcc

Install Flex:

$ sudo yum install -y flex

For Debian/Ubuntu:

Install C Compiler (GCC):

$ sudo apt-get install gcc

Install Flex:

$ sudo apt-get install flex
